Christmas Pictures Part 1

Here is what we have so far. These are at Granny Sharon and Paw Paw Carl's house. We have a couple more places to go so hopefully I will have a few more pics later! =)


This is the first place we went from the hospital just two days after Grady's third back surgery. I say I have one tough hubby!! He loved this keyboard with a microphone just as much as Payton did. he-he He HAD to get down and play with her.




She got some new bows!

And she loves this car!! I can't wait to take her for a walk in it!

She got 100 balls and daddy decided it would be funny to give her some little boobies. ha

Once she got the hang of opening gifts she wanted to open Mommy and Daddy's too!

Grady is Home!

Grady got to come home today! Well he almost didn't get to come home but it worked out. He had to get the strongest antibiotics made to take orally until Monday then they will start the picc line. They said it is staph and it is a pretty bad infection in his discs and all but they say the meds will help. We almost had to stay until Monday because there was no one there to start the picc line but they said he could come home with these antibiotics for now because they are just about as good as what he is getting through iv. Also Payton woke up with no fever and has been fever free all day. She may have just missed mommy and daddy and we think she getting her first tooth soon. We had Christmas at Granny and Paw Paw's today (we went there from the hospital) so I'll have pics soon! Payton LOVED all of her goodies!!

Surgery and a Sick Baby

Well Grady had to have ANOTHER surgery yesterday. We went to Waco to get the Neurologist to take a look at his back because it was still hurting him and it was not healing well. We just thought he would send us home with some antibiotics. WRONG!! The doc said he needed to go have another surgery to clean out some infection. So we were stunned and headed to the hospital Payton and all. My mom came up and got her for the night and I stayed there with Grady. The surgery went well. The doctor said the infection wasn't too deep or anything. Right now we are just waiting on the Infectious Disease doctor to come in to let us know whats next. According to the Neuro doc it will most likely be a picc line so that he can have antibiotics intravenously for 6 weeks. It will either be that or oral antibiotics which would be much better but unlikely. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he gets to come home tomorrow. But if not thats ok. We just want him well!
So now I am home with Payton tonight (poor Grady is at the hospital by himself) because she is getting sick. I came home from the hospital to see her for a little bit and to take a shower but when I got here she was really fussy and had a low fever. There was no way I could leave her here while she is sick and Grady wanted me here with her. Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow!

She Got to See Santa!!

Friday night we went to Granny's work Christmas party and got Payton's picture taken with Santa. She loved it and wasn't one bit scared! She let Santa know she was a good girl and gave him her list and he gave her a candy cane! =)
Then today Payton and I went with to Corrigan with my mom, sister, niece and nephew for my moms side of the family "the Smelley's" Christmas (yes Smelley is my moms maiden name he-he). Anyways we got there and Payton had a pretty bad tummy ache...I am not sure if it was from the ride or what. So since she wasn't feeling well I got a little side tracked and didn't get any pics. Santa AND Scrooge were both there!
