Girl Time

Today Payton and I headed to Waco for some girl time. We went by and visited my good friend Jessika. She is baby sitting another friends daughter Kinley for a little while. The girls had so much fun and we enjoyed watching them play. Jessika is expecting in October so I hope Skye, Kinley and Payton will have play dates one day! Thank you Shelly for letting us make a visit to your home! We ALL need to get together soon!

Sunflowers

Today we went to take some pictures in a sunflower field. Payton just woke up from a nap so she wasn't her normal perky self. We may try to go one more time when she is in a smiley mood.

Mayborn Museum

Payton's second cousin Aiden was in for a visit this weekend and we all (Grady's cousin Natalie, Aunt Jane the kids and I) went to the Mayborn Museum. We had so much fun! I can't wait to go again! After Grady saw the pics he said he wished he would have gone but I am sure we will be back soon. Payton and Aiden had such a fun day together!!

We had to leave soon after they saw this. They were hungry and thought this was real food. ;)

This is so funny! They did not understand that they could walk on the glass floor. They would not take one step. In fact Aiden didn't realize the glass was there and thought he was balancing on the bar that he was standing on. He was so proud of himself!

By the way this is the 100th post. Woo hoo way to go me!! he he

Fifteen Month Update

I read recently that 15 months is a milestone month for a toddler and I believe it. Payton wakes up saying a new word every day and she does not stop talking until she goes to sleep. She knows how to tell us what she wants and if she can't say the word for it she says "uh uh uh" while opening and closing her hands over and over (like give me) until we figure it out.
I think she will be pretty easy to potty train. When she wants to be changed she walks to her room and comes out with a diaper and looks at me like change me.
She says "peas" meaning please. Oh and our favorite thing she says is love you. It sounds more like "luh ya" and she only says it when we ask but still we love it.
Also she knows a lot of her body parts. I was so shocked one day because she knew where they were and I hadn't even been trying to teach her. It's amazing how much they pick up on their own!!
When we take her to a restaurant or store she laughs at strangers until they look up and give her attention. Anyone who knows me knows that I am very shy and I am having to come out of it because she does not allow shyness. She wants all eyes on her.
Here are a few pics from this week:

Rolling around in the grass.

I call her sassy britches and I think she looks like a sassy britches here. he he

Full of Laughter

Payton is always giggling these days. It is so funny! She will go on and on and on for a long time. Here is a little video from tonight. Grady was calling her to tell him goodnight at the end. On her way there she stepped on her doll. I guess she was worried about all of the noise it was making. ha-ha
