Oh and for the Vaseline story. I have been watching a few kids here and there during the summer. The day of this incident I had Payton, another 2 year old, a 6 year old, and a 9 year old. All of our rooms are kid proof except for the master bedroom which is pretty safe. Well some how Payton's door didn't get closed good and she snuck into her room and got this BIG tub of Vaseline off of her changing table. Then she brought it into our room and climbed up on our bed and had SOOO much fun with it. I was messing around in the kitchen and heard the kids voices as they were playing and just thought everything was fine. WRONG!!! I don't know how long she was playing with the stuff I mean it couldn't have been long because I had just looked in and saw her like 10 minutes before. Anyways when I found her in our room her face, hair and whole body were shiny and thick with it...our pillows and comforter were shiny and thick with it...it was just a shiny nightmare. All I could do was laugh. I didn't know where to start with cleaning that mess. I soon discovered that the stuff is very water and soap resistant especially in hair. So lots of Internet research, 10 baths and 15 or more hair washings later we finally got it all out.
Here are some pics taken when we went swimming this week. She is not scared of the water at all and when we put floaties on her for the first time she swam like a little pro!
This is Jack. He is always so good with Paytie. Here he was retrieving her sippy cup for her!
One night she had so much fun in this bag!!
